Kevin is a dedicated piano instructor and accomplished performer who believes that music education is most effective when it is tailored to the individual. He holds degrees from Northwestern University, where he studied under Sylvia Wang, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Yoshikazu Nagai. As an active musician, his performance highlights include appearances with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, on WFMT Chicago, and at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

His pedagogical philosophy is rooted in finding technical and interpretive freedom through a physically relaxed approach to playing the piano. Kevin has experience in working with students of all backgrounds, including teaching neurodivergent learners and students with autism. By prioritizing an early assessment of each student’s unique learning style and physical needs, he creates a supportive environment where students can feel both supported and challenged. Whether working with young beginners or adults, Kevin is committed to fostering a lifelong love of music through dedicated, personalized instruction.
